The Receptionist may offer you an appointment with one of the GP support staff. The Nurse Practitioner, Minor Illness Nurse or Duty Practitioner can diagnose and prescribe and can help you with the following minor illnesses:-
The Duty Practitioner triages calls and will visit Patients in the community if appropriate, they also have daily clinics.
None of these Specialist Nurses deal with - Mental health issues, medication reviews or issue sick notes.
Please note - The Duty Practitioner can not see Patients under the age of 6 weeks & The Minor Illness Nurses can not see Patients under the age of 2 years.
